Reverend and coal miner Patrick Sturgill sits on his couch with his two young children and talks about his reasons for sending them to the Christian School that will be opening in his town, Norton, Virginia. He notes the impact of the coal companies on the social life of the community and his belief that a Christian education will help his children avoid drugs and getting into trouble. This program was videotaped for broadcast on cable television Channel 12 as part of the Broadside/Mountain Community Television initiative to provide locally produced public access television to southwestern Virginia.
